What is Micropigmentation?
Micropigmentation or permanent make-up (PMU) is the revolutionary method of depositing hypoallergenic mineral pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. With an ultra-thin needle and pigment, the shape of the eyebrows, eyes or lips is enhanced. Micropigmentation is also known as permanent make-up or cosmetic tattooing. It is sometimes wrongly confused with cosmetic tattoos (e.g. eyebrow tattoos or eyeliner tattoos). However, the pigments used for permanent make-up are introduced less deeply into the skin layer and have a different composition from tattoo inks. Micropigmentation devices are also more refined than tattoo machines, and the techniques that are used are different.
Asymmetry is very common in Lips and can be easily corrected by using semi permanent makeup to help create a more harmonious and balanced appearance to the face. Cosmetic permanent makeup is a perfect way to transform thin or uneven lips or lips that have lost fullness and shape with age and in need of volume restoration. A color is selected from huge range of fabulous shades to either blend with your natural lip.
In our youth lips are soft, full and have a great natural tone. As the aging process begins we start to lose the shape, contour, fullness and color of our lips. Permanent makeup can enhance your current lip shape or lip shade. It can also re-shape lips, visually increase the size of lips and adjust the shape.

Mahelia can help you achieve the look you are looking for. She will first help you decide on your ideal shape for you. Mahelia has developed several options for women who are seeking to enhance their eyes. For those who wish to have an almost invisible effect, pigment can be placed in between the lashes to enhance the base of the lashes making them appear thicker and darker. If you wear eyeliner on a daily basis , you can opt for a thicker, more dramatic effect than a standard eyelash enhancement; this gives an optical illusion of darker, thick lashes with perfectly-applied eyeliner. Mahelia creates this look for you by placing pigments along the lash line, underneath and in between them too, corner to corner and tapering the needs for a delicate yet elegant, finish.
Eyeliner is a key element to a woman's morning routine; however, we have all experienced smudge and smears throughout the day. Some of us have difficulty applying an even and precise line along the lash. For women with poor eyesight, active lifestyles, busy professionals and mothers, applying eyeliner every day is simply not feasible. Semi permanent makeup can be used in several ways to achieve a truly smudge proof finish.
Aftercare advice and post procedure treatment will be provided to you on the first session and a follow up appointment will be scheduled at approximately 6-8 weeks later.

Before And After Care
Almost all Cosmetic Tattoo procedures are multi session processes.
You are required to come back for one touch up adjustment visit before it can be determined that your work is complete. Adjustment visits are scheduled at 4-6 week intervals or longer.
Be prepared for the colour intensity of your procedure to be significantly sharper, brighter or darker then what is expected for the final outcome. It will take time for this transition depending upon how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates.
Any tweezing, tinting or waxing should be done at least 48 hrs prior to procedure. No eyelash extensions are to be worn with any eyeliner treatments.
Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel its best not to make any social plans for a day or two following any procedure. Procedures may take longer then expected to complete under some circumstances.
Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following the eyeliner procedure. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pre-tattooed condition.
If you are having lip procedures and have a history of cold sores/fever blisters/herpex simplex, you will be required to obtain the proper antiviral tablets by a prescription or over the counter to prevent an outbreak.
Refrain from use of alcohol, aspirin- containing medications, ibuprofen, or other blood thinning medications for seven days before and two days after any procedure. No medications should ever be discontinued without consulting your Doctor.
Do not expose your healing skin to direct sun, wind, tanning beds, hot water, saunas, salt water, pool water for at least 7-10 days following the procedure.
Do not pick, peel or scratch your healing skin as you may cause uneven healing of pigment, or you may risk infection or scarring.
A skin test patch is offered upon request. However, an allergic reaction to pigments/dyes can occur immediately after or manifest years later whether or not skin test patch is preformed. Allergic reactions are extremely rare.
Please follow the above instructions to achieve the best results.
